ISPRAMED -The Institute for the Promotion of Arbitration and Mediation in the Mediterranean- and the Legal Department of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce invite you to this important Conference to be held on the occasion of the Fourth Official Meeting of ISPRAMED’s Network of Mediterranean Arbitration Centres, aimed at elaborating common principles for the administration of arbitral procedures in the Area. ISPRAMED’s Network encompasses the following centres: the Centre for Arbitration Mediation and Conciliation of Algiers, the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration, the Arbitration Court of Morocco, the Milan Chamber of Arbitration, the Lebanese Arbitration Centre, the Tunis Mediation and Arbitration Centre and the Legal Department of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce.
Following the 2012 Conference focused on the topic of the independence and impartiality of arbitrators, this year the Conference focuses on other crucial aspects of international arbitration, i.e. concerns over costs in the proceedings, allowing the speakers to explore and discuss the ways in which costs can be reduced, in order to make international arbitration more cost-effective, and the audience to have a more conscious approach towards the issue. The topic is also part of the working priorities of ISPRAMED’s Network: the Centres of the Network will take advantage of the discussion in view of comparing their practices with respect to costs.
Speakers: H.E. Amb. Giampaolo SCARANTE, Amb. Giovanni CASTELLANETA, Stefano AZZALI, Farid Ben BELKACEM, Abdelwahab EL BEHI, Muhieddine EL KAISSI, B. Bahadır ERDEM, Amin HAJJI, Nabeel KHOKHAR, Charles JARROSSON, Ergun OZSUNAY, Mohamed Abdel RAOUF, Renaud SORIEUL
